Yesterday I joined 100chewi Il2 as gunner, the plane got shot down and crashed.
From my position I didn't saw the crash, the plane just disappeared and I found myself rolling and circling on the ground going trow the map faster than a diving 262.
I couldn't exit (since I was not stopped) and I couldn't bail...
As soon i hit ALT + F4 i got jumped in the tower for 1 sec, just the time for the game to shut down.
Another Il2 bug (maybe it's the same for others planes) after I bailed over a friendly town I found myself suspended in air perfectly stopped in the center of the town at 2-300ft alt. I could only manouver the view as if I was in an airplane but nothing else, had to wait more or less 2 minutes till the game suddently jumped me on tower.

the gunner position crash has been a "bug' for awhile - sometimes has happened to me - but rare, I think it was a connection problem, same as the other thing you described. You might want to try running pingplotter to see how your connection is.
I think it is at pingplotter.com, if not do a search for it on google or something.

The first one, I had exactly the same thing as discribed happening to me in the thursday snapshot last week...
I don't think it's a connection problem
