I don't post much. Been a long time (on and off) for many years player of AH and AW. However, one observation this past year is "cv writing". Or, it's just someone playing pranks (which can be very IRRITATING when you are trying to take off from the CV).
While as a Bishop I've seen all kinds of funky "cv writing" and pranking. I've seen strange shapes drawn out with the CV paths and words too. I haven't seen this in almost a month. Has anyone noticed the same thing? I wasn't sure if it was because that particular user quit the game or if one of the new patches eliminated this ability to do writing with the cv paths.

Children.

Children.
That was my assumption... "kids" doing it. Wide variety of age groups playing the game. I'm glad it stopped happening though.

It's still alive and kicking. Someone the other day was writing SAPP with the CV in the MW arena.

Good grief. The game should enforce that you have to be within range (whatever that can be defined as) to control the ship. In my opinion, you should have to take control of the ship to change it's course, and you must be at least in the hangar of the ship to do so. Several times (and I've been guilty of this myself) I've commented to the person who took control of the cv about the "cv writing" and they claim it wasn't them, that they "just" took control to prevent it.
Unless you can limit the number of waypoints to prevent it... or limit them more to discourage it in some way.

RacrX likes to write "RacrX for Pres" with cvs on the knights. I find it quite humorous since it is always done with a stolen frontline cv taken way to the rear.

Well that is "kind of" funny in a twisted way. :lol
If it were in a theater not heavily congested in the middle of a mission or in the middle of the CV shelling a base, no big deal. But, when people are doing this when others are trying to defend the cv or take off, etc. That can be irritating.

I just click clear waypoints/set waypoints without setting any waypoints. It takes me about 2 seconds to undo what took them 10 minutes to complete. :t

Any suspects?

No suspects with SAPP. You guys are like the mafia. All of you are suspects while at the same time none of you are. :noid

What's the big deal that someone wrote SAPP with the CV? It was cool to see it on the map, and it lets everyone know in the arena that SAPP is there to play. No one was hurt by it, the CV wasn't sunk because of it, no one crashed on take off because of it, Knitwits didn't lose a base because of it, so what's the big deal?
