It's with great sorrow that I have to report the passing of my father Dale. He was 86 and was in a motorcycle accident. He flew for the USN during WW2. During his first tour in the South Pacific he flew SBDs off the Essex. He returned in 1944 to fly the new F6F5N night fiter. His squadron, VF-9, flew off the Lexington and then the Yorktown2. He had four air victories. I tried to get Dad to fly Air Warrior and Aces High, but he didn't like the feel of a computer joystick--in fact, he didn't even want a computer :) He was the greatest father a person could have, and I miss him. <<S>>

BBaw the world is a better place because of your father and I believe there may be one more way to pay tribute to him. I'm not sure if there already is one, but if you have a picture of his SBD or maybe even an older F6 that could be skinned in memoriam to your dad, I would like to see some of the talented skin artists we have skin it for you and maybe even get it in the game. It would make for a nice tribute to your father and I for one would most certainly fly it. :salute

What a great life story your dad must have, BBAW. 86 and still on a bike, I'm just hoping to live that long and to be able to sit on the toilet without falling off.
Another charter member of the greatest generation passes, we are less with each one that moves on. :salute
