When i go to open AH, a window pops up saying AcesHigh.exe has stopped working. It pops up as soon as I click on AH without any delay. The same thing happens when i try to open AHfilm and the skin viewer. Any help would be appreciated.
-
I don't believe it, IT WORKED !!!! CYA !
:D
Sounds like a corrupt file to me. Did you change something on your computer? I'd try downloading it again and do a fresh install.
-
Just reinstalled AH, and got rid of my AH folder. Still the same problem. I didn't change anything with my comp., I have no clue why this is happening.
-
Are you running any anti-spyware/ firewalls programs when you try to launch AH?
-
nope. All turned off.
-
DxDiag would be helpful.

Have you checked to make sure AH is running in compatibility mode?

Have you checked to make sure AH is running in compatibility mode?
yup I've ran it in every mode from win.95 to windows server 03, and not in compatibility mode. no difference.
-
sunfan by removing AH and reinstalling did you go this route.
open my computer and open program files then ahII and remove all the files from there then go back and remove the next ah file. then goto control panel and remove it from there and then reinstall?
if not then you did not do a complet uninstall of Aces High

Yup thats exactly what i did. Removed everything from my HTC folder, deleated it, then uninstalled the game.

you also might want to check your video drivers sometimes its not always a good thing to use the most updated ones. i know with my older computer i have to run a driver thats been out dated for 1 year now.
your computer will automaticly update these so its not a matter if you did the update or not. find out what video card you have then goto their website and look for updated drivers and check it with your current diver.
if you are running an older driver then try updating it, if you are running the current driver then try the driver before it.
also are you running windows XP or VISTA
-
Yep new video drivers are what fixed it. :D Thanks kils :rock :salute
