Is anyone else having the old WB's style nose bounce problem?

I am getting it pretty bad, and others from my WB's squad are having the same problem, to differing degree's. The severity differs from plane to plane, and different aircraft conditions, but it is definitely there.

Can we get dampers ala WB's 2.0 to cure this?

And before anyone asks, yes I am very gentle on the stick and I have calibrated correctly and used the sliders. Both in AH and Win98.

Same setup but using a CH GameCardIII
Verm and I've not had any nose boucing.
I do not cal via the game either. Win95
app only.

Yep, four years to vanquish the dreaded Nose Bounce in WB, only to find they built it back into AH  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif)

Not talkin about spiking here, just that annoying, is-this-an-airplane-or-a-birthday-balloon bobbing and weaving.  Sorry, gang, but airplanes just don't DO this the way it's been modeled.  It's a VERY simple matter to put your nose positively EXACTLY where you want it, and hold it there.  Yes, when you release it, it might smoothly snap back to where it was; it might even overshoot slightly before it settles down.  But the rate and amplitude of the deviations in AH is just too much.

In WB supposedly this was a question of control-force vs stability.  Lowering the stability paradoxically decreased the nose bounce, but it was deemed more important for playability to have greater (dynamic) stability, even if that meant excessive nose bounce (forgive me if I'm not remembering that explanation correctly).

Anyway, I'm using a TM F-22 (with GOOD pots) and a PDPI L4 digital card, and I do get nose bounce.  It's not so bad that it can't be worked around, but IMHO it definitely needs some tuning.

you really need to look into the nose bounce issues.

Most noticablem to me in a Spit under the following conditions.

Spit climping at roughly 15 to 20 degrees to the horizon in auto trim for angle. (not speed and not auto level)

Hit X (on my system mapped for auto level) to change to auto trim for level flight and the SPIT "nose bounces" all over the place.
Takes about 3 to 4 cycles before it damps out.

CC on nose bounce.

Also, try flying 109 at slow speed 200 IAS at 5k or so. Bank 90 degrees and leave the controls. Plane will slide down around yaw axis, but in increments, due to slight nose bouncing.

This effect can't be noticed at higher speeds though.

Delta - the oscillations due to engaging the auto-trim have nothing to do with nose-bounce.

Since HT add the dampers a version back, my nose bounce is gone or reduced to a point it doesn't bother me.

Figure out which axis is causing the problem and bounce up the joystick damper just a little, it helped mine alot.

The spit seems to have a yaw stability problem.  With autopilot off and at 200 or so IAS, yaw oscillations take forever to damp out.  I have not noticed any problems with pitch stability (or bobbing for that matter) with the spit.
