Title: Small request about font color
Post by: Greg 'wmutt' Cook on April 10, 2000, 03:09:00 AM
I dunno, maybe as I get older, I see worse, but I'm having a tough time with the color of green that we have for friendly Icons.  It gets tough to read against the sky in a fight and I keep loosing my wingman.  Would it be difficult to maybe darken it some for a better contrast.
(I know, give a man a million dollars, and he'll still gripe about where to spend it.)

Thanks

I'd like to see font colors be completely user adjustable, hue and brightness.  This would allow everyone to adjust them for maximum visibility, make the game more enjoyable, and even the playing field.

Agree with Popeye. If they make that green darker you'll have problems reading fonts against the ground. Customizable colors is the best solution. Another useful option should be to have a chance to select normal or bold fonts.

Red-green colorblind here like 10% of males.

Red and green as friend and foe colors were the worst possible choices.

We need RGB sliders to adjust the colors.

I agree that user adjustable colors would be best, but I was looking for a fix that required as little coding as possible.  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

That is just because you had to follow me yesterday wmutt.  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Actually I agree, some sliders would be nice to darken the green. I did that in Warbirds for the same reason you mentioned wmutt.
