Title: A Newer Type of Flying
Post by: TwentyFo on October 14, 2008, 07:18:03 PM
Tonight i was getting gang-PICKED, not the normal gangbang it was a gang PICK   Something new Ive never seen before...I had to fly a F-16 Falcon to stand a chance from a 110, hog, pony and 190. Kinda sucked since i hate F-16's....new thing though i guess!

That's it Stang....I'm tired of your bullying. If you make fun of the Hills or the Jonas Brothers one more time I will tell Skuzzy. I'm sick and tired of you making me feel bad about myself. All I've ever done in this game was try to make you happy. Obviously, I have failed and I feel terrible about it. To make fun of the 2 most important things in my life (The Jonas Brothers and The Hills) hits me really hard. I expect you to apologize to me in approximately 2hrs. If no apology is given then you are dead to me. You have been warned.

Can I get a list of the Griefers IN the mid war arena?

Surely the Johnas bros. are vulchin the hills to get to number one, cause they sure as shi@ can't play the fluff'n guitar.

and how come every song on the radio has the same 4 chords?

Let me explain

Pop Music is derived from a Major Key structure. The key contains 7 different notes (chords) plus what they call an Octave. ( the root or starting tone but higher)

The major key scale is formed by taking a series of intervals from the chromatic scale

A A# B C C# D D# E F F# G G#        intervals  Whole step = 2 moves, Half step = 1 move

the major key sequence is Whole Whole Half Whole Whole Whole Half

Now you can start this from any one of the 12 notes, let's try C

C whole step D whole step E half step F whole step G whole step A whole step B half step C

ok our key of C consists of C,D,E,F,G,A,B,C

now chordally all the chords have to be formed of notes within the key. This is another lesson for another date however.....

you end up with a sequence of

I        II         III        IV         V                                                   VI             VII
Cmajor, Dminor, Eminor, Fmajor, Gmajor or G7 ( common substitution), Aminor, and Bm7b5.

This is your blank pallet with which to write with  however the uncreative toolshedders have created magical formula of Ichord Vchord VI chord and IV chord that every pop band must write their songs with.

In our key of C that equates to Cmajor, Gmajor, Aminor, Fmajor. With this 4 chord sequence and some whiny lyrics of teenage heartbreak angst ( usually written by some 50 yr old dude ) you too can rule the world like Nickelback and the Johnas bros.

Nickleback is pretty solid. I'm not a huge fan of them, but they can sure crank out the hits.

So in order to be a hit you must play the guitar like Stevie Ray Vaughn, the drums like ?ues Love, the bass like Stanley, and the Piano like Brian Culbertson? Good music is good music.... no matter how easy or difficult it is.

Naw I like the 2 or 3 chords and the truth mentality too, HOWEVER the music business side of things has a tendency to beat a dead horse and  THEN it just gets outta control. It mostly isn't about the artists, but the formula. AND NO AND THEN! This has happened over and over again in the history of music though and is nothing new BUT.....every time I hear those 4 chords now in a row I wanna vomit :)

BEAT THAT DEAD HORSIE! BEAT HIM! BEAT HIM! MILK HIM FOR ALL THE MONEY HE IS WORTH! BEAT HIM!

lol I digress.

Hits /= good music.  it just means its easily digestible by the masses who would rather have the "man" tell him what to listen to.

support indy artists.

here.  I'll even list some indy artists from different genre's.

Live dance/trip-hop/jamtronica check out EOTO:

http://www.myspace.com/eotomusic
everything you hear they've done live and improved.  i have some great soundboards if you are interested.

Good old rock and roll?

Widespread Panic of course!
http://www.panicstream.com/vault.htm
My favorite show is the 2000-11-22 in Asheville.  Was my first.  Lots of gems in those archives though.  You might be surprised to see some of the people they've played with.

Bluegrass folk meets punk?

Avett Brothers, I'm not too excited when they get screamy but I've seen some good shows.

Yeah, I honestly struggle with metal.  It's among the least appealing forms of noise around, at least for me.  Some old black sabbath, well I grew up with a lot of rednecks and i've spent my fair share to whiskey induced metal scream alongs :D

Metal, pop-country, un-inspired rap, and pop anything are very unappealing to me.  Bluegrass, folk, some classical, rock, blues, soul, FUNK!, some dance/trance/electronica stuff, jam bands of all varieties; thats music to live on.

lol. Go off and listen to some incoherent screaming then. Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Judas Priest and Iron Maiden is all good stuff... I can't stand Hair Metal or Nu Metal or Death Metal or Black Metal and all it's other modern varieties. Good singing, for me, is vital in music. You can get away with a boring guitar as long as the song is catchy and the singing is good... but add in a crappy singer and I can't stand it.

Metal isn't about screaming witch you think it is do you even take the time to listen to metal? Lamb of God Slipknot Slayer are the best bands out there not the same old pop bands that sound all the same singing about why he/she left me.

lots of double bass doesn't make a metal band "good"

Wow what has come to this world it all pop crap. You don't real music then.

I pretty much take direct offense to that.  I simply stated I don't like them.  My personal choice.  Now your stating I don't know real music.  Now it isn't my personal choice but you telling me what to listen to.  This just shows your a biased tool of the genre that currently has you hooked.

Your whole approach to music as you stated to me is what repulses me to pop-music.

Speaking of tools:

if I remember correctly this album was almost completely about how he envisioned his mothers experiences while she lay in a coma.  crazy stuff.

Glock, get this straight.  I'm not out to declare your music inferior (even if I may believe it so); I'm here to help you broaden your horizons.

Scroll down what all the way?
lots of double bass doesn't make a metal band "good"
I was wondering if anyone else found this annoying.

There, I fixed it so that it makes sense.  You struggle with grammar much or are you just lazy about it?  Annoying to have to decipher your posts to simply understand your meaning.

It's abundantly clear to me now that you have a lot of trouble differentiating between stating personal tastes and insulting other's tastes.  I attempted to show my musical influences.  All you've done is insult them.  Simply stating your disinterest and supplying reasons for such would be a lot more creative and helpful.

But with all the opportunities you've been provided to do so you simply rag on others.  Sad.

This is a message board, where people write each other messages.  If people have trouble even comprehending your messages you may want to take the time to work on your communication skills.  I'm not trying to tell you I'm the perfect grammar and spelling king, but taking the time to include some punctuation will go a long way for you.

Here, how about some flaming lips?  lots of crossover and influences to inspire all kinds of music fiends out there.

I'm a big fan of the girl on skates :D  One show of theirs I went to the band dumped a couple thousand laser pointers in the crowd.  The band and the stage were covered in mirrors, it was intense.

Hmm, I've never them except their performance in the 'VH1 Honors the Who' thing, which was pretty poor. Cool sound :aok

I prefer classic/hard rock myself, bleeding into blues on one end and the beginnings of metal on the other.

Flaming Lips fn rule. I've seen them live a couple times and it's always a blast. Yoshimi vs. the Pink Robots in 5.1 Dolby surround is a musical masterpiece to behold.
