BoB is setup in the AvA, no capture. This setup will last two weeks until the start of the scenario BoB'08.

I was in there tonight. Had good fights with fudgums and md68. Didn't see any of the old JG54 bunch at all, so I guess they must have been thwacking elsewhere.

If you're N7, I've had nothing but respect for WildeSau and you (Unfortunately VWE was the third but recently decided to follow the CO's path) . I believe you went out of your way in other thread Dinan, so I had "due cause", if you weren't I apologize. "Mock"? I'm sorry, but there are many folks in this Community that are sick and tired of the Elitism that a "Certain CO" attaches to himself.

I guess you felt I played the same game. I play AH for the cartoon dogfight and that's about it. I keep 200 chat/smack to a minimum and I rarely post on the BBS. I would say the same goes for 90% of my squadmates. We might be looked upon poorly for the actions of a few, but we have a fun time flying together and that's the reason why we stick around.

It seems that in this setup dot radar was turned off. Friendly as well as enemy. I see that the setup is trying to give people the opportunity to pratice for the upcoming BoB scenario but what people have to realize is that its not the SEA scenario. What I'm saying is in the SEA setup there are hundreds of people and in the AVA there are very few people. Sure with radar off it makes you feel like you're in the SEA but with the small amount of people who populate the AVA it makes it very hard to find a fight. With out the ability to find a fight it gets boring fast and it makes people stray away. I suggest that you turn dot radar back on and extend the radar ring out into the channel so when having a fight in the Pas de Calais you can actually find the other person to fight.

This has come up again and again. Radar and icon range in the AvA caters to the pickers and the ones trying to hide from a fight.

agreed... limiting radar makes no sense in the AvA... ever.

I'll have to look into it when I get home. Radar should not be shut off, I will correct that as soon as possible.

Can some squads pick a night and get it going? If two or three squads picked the same night and posted the night then there would be good numbers to get it kick started for that night. It will be hard for individuals to get it going joining one at a time.

I regret to say that the behavior of a particular squad, towards some of my guys, led me to pull My squad out of the AvA for good. I do hope they enjoy the echo effect they get as they abuse each other, now that they are all that's left in the arena.

Not at the expense of having a good time; we should not have to squelch an entire squad to enjoy ourselves.
Oldman, you have conducted yourself in a very decent manner through out the last year, but surely you don't expect me to believe you are surprised by the conduct of the offending squad. I know for a fact you have been on when it took place; a player that has been around as long as yourself will be seen as condoning such behavior by not stepping in to stop it.
I also must say that the offending squad seems to be immune to the abuse reporting system as it is structured. I guess that squad CO's dollar spends better than mine and I'll leave it at that. Nobody can say we didn't give it a shot, even against all advise of the Aces High Community. Good luck with all your future endeavors in the private dueling arena. <S>

This is an absolute riot! You and your squad got almost every single one of them booted from this forum, continue to accuse them of cheating, and make a habit - nay - a point of griefing those who don't want to participate in the war. Don't try to pretend OM and the rest of the staff haven't bent over backwards trying to accomodate you and your squad, because they certainly did and have. And yet you are still trying to pull out the victim card?

Must be a bunch of west coast guys as it doesn't seem to get going until after 11:00 Est. Still pretty dead at 8:00 Est.

Akondo was his name, I think. Very eager to figure out the BoB plane set, I liked him. Good times, glad to see Xocet back, too, now a clear master of the Emil.
Note, for others: I logged into AvA early (for me), around 9:30 pm Eastern time. I believe I flew for just a bit over half an hour by myself before Venom and Akondo popped in almost simultaneously. After that the crowd grew at a regular pace. So it's fairly important for SOMEONE to be the first to just motor around trolling for opponents.

you know, after seeing that major setup in titanic tuesday, maybe Bob needs the same thing?? a major bombing or attack offensive involving 110's and 109's and 190's vs whatever the dark side(just a little propaganda humor, not meant to be offensive)wants to throw up at them for defense. you have the right setup and the right planes. maybe one of the more liked people (obviously not one of my squad) might put something together and make it work. could be fun!! i dont really care for BOB but everyone loves a major offensive!! i bet we could get something rolling out of this if we all try!!
the last time, TrueKill set up a bombing raid with ar234's and me262's and it was a Hoot.

AvA was fun tonight even though Axis were formidably fearless in their Emil's and 110's. Thankfully the brave young lads of the RAF are up to the task. <S>
