well i must admit that in days gone by i have on occassion slapped my desktop, bounced my chair, tossed my ash tray, kicked the table brace, smacked my joy stick (keep it out of the gutter guys!!!) cuffed the tower and yes on a couple of occassion punched out my monitor...............but i have never shot arrows at my computer! does it improve frame rate? raise pingrate? is this the secret tweaking tool used by those in the know to skyrocket their cpu settings into the stratosphere?!
well its about time someone let the secret out into the public so us untrained chumps could use the tweaking secrets of the enlightened on our own systems!
is there a particular type of arrow head that would work for one type of tweak and another head for some other setting?
how about the shaft? (damn you guys, clean i said!) is there one type that works better than another??
now that you have let the secret out stop being a tease!!! tell us how to use it!!!

no lie, i used to have a 150 lb crossbow, and i did the same thing from around 40 yards, it was a one in a million shot. (for me) but totaly cool none-the-less

I think their myth was that you could split a wooden arrow from end to end.

Nice Wingnutt. :aok I just get my 5 year-old to retrieve arrows 1 at a time. He needs the exercise, and due to prices, cant afford new arrows..
TUK151 :salute

flukes of the natural laws of physics and science happen all the time. what is impossible is not always impossible.
just look at JETSOM, he's living proof that even a dork can get lucky and in violation of all the laws of reason, still get the greatest woman.

LOL they didnt even manage to HIT the wooden arrow that accurately
I think with a very lucky shot it can be done.
the largest problem would be when the second arrow hits the arrowhead of the first
For it to "split" it as in the Robinhood movie. the first arrowhead would have to be deeply embedded in the target so that the shaft actually penetrated it.
Near impossible. yes. but with a lucky shot. not totally impossible.
Though there have been a few Mythbusters things they've done I've questioned.
I certainly wouldnt call them the "snopes" of mythbusting
entertaining show nonetheless

I think the issue of the wooden arrow is the grain.. even a hit dead center will not go all the way to the other end because it will ride the grain of the wood and come out one side of or the other before it reaches the end.
-
Did MythBusters have Byron Ferguson shooting for them? I know I've seen him drive one arrow through a target with a second arrow.
I was not impressed by their attempts to duplicate Carlos Hathcock's through the scope kill, either. They pretty much called it a myth. I seriously doubt Carlos Hathcock lied. The man had done enough amazing things, and was the type of person not to have felt the need to make it up.

dam dude..that makes it hurt more :rofl
the closest i've come to making my own though, is putting new vanes on em.
most of my shooting is in 3D comps, and indoor league shooting, as i'm not an early enough riser to hunt......
i switch off between the camo hunters, and was using stalkers for the indoor shoots, as they're fairly cheap, and were VERY accurate compared to others i've tried.

well, the secoind arrow would hit the nok of the first arrow. with the arrows we shoot now, the nok is normally some sort of plastic, and some are designed to deflect the second arrow to save the first. mostly, they just split, and the arrows become one.
the problem with the wooden arrow spittting would be the natural tendency of the second arrow to follow the grain of the wood.
i think.
they proved that soda wouldn't explode in a car in the summer either. my geo is proof they were wrong on that one,,,came out found pepsi all over the place in there. it's STIULL not all gone :rofl
