Title: Contrails?

How much of a frame hit would contrails from high-altitude bombers cause? I would love to see them someday. It's not like we ever get more than 6 bombers in a formation anyway.

Just a thought.

And it would aid in spotting high alt buff formations. Right now you have to scramble a pretty big group of defenders to spot incoming buffs. With contrails the job would be easier.

And I'm guessing the graphics hit is pretty minimal. It doesn't take a lot of polygons to build a smoke trail...

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Reminds me of that great Keith Ferris painting (mural) in the Smithsonian.
Could also be a strategy issue... to avoid causing trails, you have to fly at certain various alts. Just like real life.

EDIT: so as not to confuse it with a fuel leak they would need to be "fluffier" and extend a long distance behind the bomber..
