Title: History Lesson
Post by: SHawk on October 21, 2008, 11:16:27 PM

Have a history teacher explain this----- if they can.

Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846.
John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.

Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860.
John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.

Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.
Both wives lost their children while living in the White House.

Both Presidents were shot on a Friday.
Both Presidents were shot in the head.

Now it gets really weird.

Lincoln 's secretary was named Kennedy.
Kennedy's Secretary was named Lincoln.

Both were assassinated by Southerners.
Both were succeeded by Southerners named Johnson.

Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808.
Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.

John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839. Lee Harvey
Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939.

Both assassins were known by their three names.
Both names are composed of fifteen letters.

Now hang on to your seat.

Lincoln was shot at the theater named 'Ford.'
Kennedy was shot in a car called ' Lincoln' made by 'Ford.'

Lincoln was shot in a theater and his assassin ran and hid in a warehouse.
Kennedy was shot from a warehouse and his assassin ran and hid in a
theater.

Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials.

And here's the kicker...

A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe, Maryland A week before
Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe.

Creepy huh?  :huh

So what your saying is John Harvey Booth will be born in 2039 and assassinate President Jackie Monroe in 2060 with an IED in a Ford while she rides in a Lincoln and Robert Johnson the VP will succeed her? Pretty far fetched that Ford or Lincoln either one will still be in business!

 :noid It's a conspiracy. :noid

The events and details surrounding Lincolns death were mere chance. There is nothing spectacular to note concerning his assassination.

The weird part is, everything surrounding Kennedy's death was all a set up so perfectly and orchestrated by the FBI to make it seem like some weird coincidence. The FBI you say? Yes, I say the FBI. It was a plot that was 20+ years in the making. I blame Hoover. It was payback.

The war had just begun and a handsome young "Jack" Kennedy had just completed training and was celebrating with some friends before they shipped off to War. They had been in a bar drinking heavily that night and as custom had it Jack was pretty F**ked up. (he's Irish you know).

So in walks this hot little number that catches Jacks eye. Being the suave man potato that he is, he slides right up next to her and starts givin her the business. Well one thing lead to another and pretty soon they're in the back alley and old Jackie Boy is gettin a hummer. This "lady" suggests to Jack that he flip her around and give her a little "non-traditional" ;) , so he accommodates her and all ends well at that point.

Old Jackie boy is trying to make a break for it at this point and this lady won't let go. Starts telling him how she loves him and wants have a relationship, etc.etc. Then a little scuffle ensues as he Jack tries to leave. He pushes the lady down. When the lady lands on the ground it jars her pretty good, so much that her wig falls off. Jack sees this and turns to face the individual. Their eyes lock. Jack says "You son of a B*tch" "You son of a B*tch I'll kill you". Yes. You guessed it. It was Hoover on one of his many nights out incognito. He was that way you know. So anyway, Jack beats the sh*t out of him good. Beats him to a bloody pulp ( because he Irish you know).

As Jack heads back into the bar, Hoover is laying there bleeding like the pig he is, Jack spits on him and Hoover raises his chubby little head and mumbles "I'll get you no matter what you mother f**ker, no matter how long, no matter where you are."  Some folks believe that Kennedy never heard him say otherwise he would have kept an eye on him after becoming President. And the rest is as we say, History.

They'll never teach that in school because everything we know is based on a lie and they want to keep it that way.

John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839.

I've thought Booth was born in 1838?

In any of these sort of posts or emails, its a given that some of the amazing truths were massaged a little for extra truthiness.  That should in no way detract from the character and/or flavor of the aforementioned post or email.

He was.

But had that one thing been left out, still an impressive list.
And why do you have that obscure piece of history committed to memory? :)

Memory? What's that?  :)

In short, two or three days ago I did some reading on VPs through history, how they were and are elected (article II, 12th and 25th amendment), etc, and since my home library is a bit short on material, I made good use of http://www.loc.gov and http://www.gutenberg.org. One click lead to another and somehow I ended up with Andrew Johnson, Lincoln's assassination and Booth.

Guess I get distracted too easily...

Nice =)

Hm. Interesting, too. I've not seen any VP books. Would be a good book to have that info compiled.  You should totally write that book bighorn. I'd buy it. :)

[hijack]
I'm reading "Who's Buried in Grant's Tomb?" It's a nice little book that gives all the information about each President's death, their last words, where they're buried, etc.  Since then I've been looking for the same style of book on each Presidents life before the Presidency ~ and stopping at each one with their inaugural speech. Heard of any like that? [/hijack]

The human mind is wired to find correlations; that's why The Wizard of Oz and The Dark Side of the Moon work so well together.  You guys need to put down the pipe and get out of your mom's basement.
