Greetings,
Last night was probably one of the funnest nights I've had in the AVA in a very long time. Seems everyone enjoyed themselves immensely.
The evening started out around 9pm EST with about 4 players. As the evening progressed, Teh Tardwhackers left and JG54 Grunherz have returned. This would be due to Exodus of the other "Said Squad" officially leaving the AVA. JG54 was happy to fill the void and make it the fun place it should be. We now have an official Evil Axis Squad for everyone to attack!
As things went on the numbers grew exponentially. We had a great time with a max around 25 pilots. Everything was very civilized, and the battles were epic. there were many 2V2's, 3V3 and even some 4V4's. too bad oldman watched the game, he missed a great time.
the Axis JG54's were absolutely ruthless in their attacks, and the Allied JG54's held them off admirably!! Shane08 and Dedelos Fought valiantly along side whatever side they happen to switch to at the time. My <S> to both. Potsnpans joined the fray early on and was a pivitol player in keeping the Evil Axis at bay.
All in all everyone had a great time last night. <S> to those, who's names i missed, that participated. We hope to keep it the way it was last night.
MY personal opinion is that the plane set is about perfect. the spit and hurricanes are very evenly matched with the 109's and 110's. it was such an even match-up even i got kills. the plane set will help new players immensely because it slows everything down to a almost level the playing field with the more experienced guys. Come try it out, its a great time!!

Ahhh, you are saying that we were so good that you had to have spies to balance the sides?

I stopped by for a little while yesterday, it was fun.
First flight I upped a Ju88 and bombed the allied airbase closest to Calais. I shot down 3 Spitfires before all three Ju88s made it home safely, albeit leaking gas. All three Spit kills were scored when they sat on my 6 to line up a shot with the .303s, and then one of them even suggested that it's impossible for a Spit I to kill a Ju88, "or they forgot to reduce the 88's lethality." :huh
Second sortie in a 109E, shot down a Spit and Hurri and then collided. Those Hurri's just go too darn slow, and they roll very well, too. :P
