" " because, my folks are REALLY strapped for cash, so credit/debit cards are out of the question. I don't really have any other way than to send them the 14.99 in an envelope paid for by my own money... Do they?

Go to your local Post Office and buy a Postal Money Order. Costs about $1 if I recall correctly, is good as cash without the risk, because you have a receipt that can be tracked.
Never send cash through the mail.
Option B... Go to Wal-Mart and for about $9 you can buy a reloadable credit card. You can add cash to your card right there in the store and use it just like a normal credit card. Sure you have to pony up the extra few bucks to get it started, but then you can keep reloading it. It'll also be useful for making other internet purchases.
Now the silly answers may commence. Any post after this point is designed simply to amuse.

Option C:
Have a live ewe sent. Do this every 3 months or so, you ought to be good.

sure they'll accept cash but you better get a money order or cashiers check. mail goes through alot of hands before it gets to where it's going. if someone even smells cash, it'll be in their pocket before you can say.....DOH! :salute

Most convenience stores sell money orders. Much safer than cash through the mail.
Any postal employee could simply open the envelope, pocket the cash, and walk away with it.
Leaving you high & dry. Also there is nice incentive for buying 6 months or more at a whack.

I copy, thanks fellas. After buying my new stick, and with Halloween coming up, I'm gonna have some cash to burn, so I'm planning on subscribing using the money order idea.
(Re PFDave: Honestly, I can't even set foot in a Walmart without having to throw up in the restrooms, thanks to some *things* that happened there during the last Christmas xP.)
Thanks, Enker :salute

Then the Postal Money Order is the cheap and easy way to go. Best of luck.

It's truly a sad time for America and the Truth is it's not just $14.95 a month to play this game, it's also the cost of the internet connection. anywhere from another 14.95 for dial up to 30 - 45 a month for cable. So playing AH II on line is at least $30.00 a month. With the release of Depression 2.0 many may not chose to spend money on a game. It is just a game and has been around for a while. If you chose to go without and help the family out, at least until the release of Prosperity 7.5 takes effect, I'm sure the game will still be here.
