Title: video cards
Post by: CJ nitro on October 26, 2008, 10:25:59 PM
Got an Ati 1650 and an nvidia 9600 gt OC edition. Running a dual core 1.8 with 4 gb of ddr3. The pc seems to run better FR using the older ati 1650 then the Nvidia. Just got the 9600 and thought it would improve performance. They both have 512 MB of DDR on them. Can anyone explain which one would really be better for my PC?

I recently purchased a BFG Tech Nividia 9600 video card.  AH will boot up but after minute or so it locks up my computer completely.  (Have to Turn the power off to get out of it.)  I can run other games fine with it.  Just AH locks up.  I wonder if the 9600 system is wacked?

I believe the issue is driver related.  I read through the release notes and it seems that there were some fixes on the 9xxx series cards.

Spacer you may have to delete a file in aces high. I forget which one it is and I am sure someone will post it. You do need the most current drivers for the 9 series though. I posted it above.

Hmmm didn't think of that. I'm using the drivers off the disk at the moment. Thanks guys. If you find out what file needs deleted please post back? Nitro
