Just curious, How many of you have NEVER been to the training arena?
And how long have you been playing the game?
Be Honest...
Just curious

Never went till earlier this year. Went there to help a couple of guys. Been playing since early AH1. I figure out the basics myself with a little reading.
-
Just the opposite. I go there every time I log it to get warmed up. Kind of like doing stretching exercises before a run. I check my calibration, my mike, and do the obligatory ".sr" then pop in to what ever arena my squaddies are in. If they are not on, I'll usually hang out for a bit to help out anyone who is having trouble or needs a little training.
Sometimes the TA is more fun than the MA IMHO.
-
I went there on my first day to ask a question. No one answered so I left.
I went there again about 6 months ago just to fly against Widewing for a few flights.
That's it.

i go in occationally, last time i was there i got help from a guy named 707200. hes was great help to me. some guy name Larry was a big help also. great place to learn. ive only been playing since january 2007.
-
The only time I've ever been in there was to take a 262 up for free practice. Have never had a trainer though, been playing almost 2 years now.
-
I pretty much lived in the DA my first few months of playing. learned the old fashion way, watching my films to see what I did wrong, and try my best not to make the same mistake.
-
I love the TA, you will see me there alot.
:rock

We have a training arena? :huh

The TA is without a doubt the most underestimated tool in AH2. Back in the day I would go in there daily to find my old mates Pooface/Biggles, Airvent or Badboy to duel.
Being able to walk away from a kill shot and keep on trying ACM is better then getting shot down and having to wait a couple of mins for the remerge like in the DA.
-
Pooface
37 years old and i belly laughed when i saw that guys name, I figure when i find things like that repulsive, then i will be "old" :rofl
-
Well the guy changed his name to Biggles after people kept on asking him if his name was poo-face or poof-ace.
:lol :lol :cry :cry :rofl :rofl
-
spent a lot of my time in 8 player.
Would hit all the FFAs.

Same here. Back in the old DA. Lots of fun in there back then
-
I went to the TA once to get help on barrel rolls but the trainer, WW, who said he'd be there wasn't.

:rofl That would be a very important distinction.
-
We meet there at the beginning of every squad night. I've never done 1 on 1 there with a trainer, but it didn't take me too long to shake off the rust from many years away from flight sims.

never.
long enough.

I go to the TA quite frequently, can't say it helps though :D. I usually go to the TA just to hang out with my good friends from the 332nd. I'd say, to me, doing what I do there (shootin the **** and debating on things) is the greatest aspect of the game.
-
In a year of playing, TA once to practice dive bombing and twice in the DA for some training. And it shows :uhoh
-
Back when Air Warrior folded, the TA was the 1st place I and and some squaddies went.
-
Never been...10yrs+ flyin...maybe I should have...still only an average pilot. :frown:
-
Ive had a look in there and did a pass or two with buffs when we had the old bombing system. Been here since 2000.

I was there. Unfortunately, not until some time after you left... My apologies.
My work schedule changed, meaning I wasn't getting home to 10 PM some nights. However, since my priority engineering project is completed, I expect to be on my normal schedule again after this week. That means Tuesday thru Thursday, 9 PM to 11 PM. Look me up then.
My regards,
Widewing

Been to the training area maybe twice and playing off and on since 2000, same goes for the DA.

I've never been there. As if there was a doubt. :)

I spent all of my 2 weeks in the TA and still go in there once in awhile.
