1. Open "Volume Control", mute mic, then mic boost...(Don't know why, but won't stay in this configuration if close "Volume Control"...
2. Allow AH permission to pass through the Sunbelt Personal Firewall..
3. Grab drink or whatever...
4. Put on headphones and adjust mic...
5. Log on...
Some of this process is tedious... I haven't figured out how to just simply make the software firewall let AH through all the time...
The whole adjusting audio properties thing every time is also an annoyance..

Before I fly, I drink 3 energy drinks before taking my shirt off and doing a full body flex in the mirror for about five minutes. If I am satisfied with what I see and how I feel, I will login and start being a virtual tough guy in the AH skies.

2. Turn on amp / put on headphones / test mic
3. Run ccleaner, turn off AVG
4. Log in
5. Get killed 10 - 15 times
6. Log out, eat supper.
7. Try to convince myself that "I'll do better tomorrow night" :rock

2. Put on leather flying cap, silk scarf and goggles.
3. Give a primal scream
4. adjust headset, Mic, Calibrate joystick
5. Log on
6. Head to LWB and look for the most balanced darbar (This is the hardest thing i do)
7. Die a LOT :cry
8. Log off and dream of being a fighter ace!!

Work Mon., work Tues., work Wed., work Thurs., work Friday. Buy alcohol, log on to AH, die a lot and laugh about it.

1. Stop peering at the security camera screen which has been nicely placed in the neighbor's shower. :t
2. Disable AV.
3. Shut down AV.
4. Kill explorer.exe.
5. Launch game.
6. Fly.

When the box comes up asking if you want to allow AH to access the server with the options to Permit or Deny, there is a checkbox for "make a rule". Check that, then click on Permit. You'll never have to do that again.
I run Animal's XP Game Launcher (http://home.comcast.net/~animl/xpgl.htm), select AH, then Launch. That shuts down all of my excess junk that I don't need running when I'm playing AH (like AV), opens my sound card control panel where I switch to headphones, it runs TrackIR, opens the Cougar Control Center so I can calibrate, and opens Foxy so I can load my AH profile. Finally, it gives me a dialog that I click OK on to run AH. When I log out of AH, I just click Restore in XP Game Launcher, and it restores all of the stuff it shut down.

Line up 6-20 beers. Get all my kills over with before 6 are gone.

1. pet the dog, kiss the wife
2. rumage through fridge finding cheese stick, soda, yesterdays left-overs, whatever else i can get my hands on.
3. hit closet for personal box of chees-it's
4. grab bag of Jax if available
5. declare that "i must keep the sky's over europe safe from the evil Allied dogs of war!"
6. go into computer room, close slider.
7. put food on top of full tower. put drink on tabletop. get comfortable in chair
8. grab joystick,throttle keyboard, which are mounted on a board that sits on my lap.
9. insert feet into rudder pedals bolted to floor.
10. fire off game and forget reality!!

4.) Up
5.) die
6.) rinse and repeat
7.) go AFK, bring cans into kitchen, bathroom
8.) go back to kitchen, get more drinks, snacks, etc
9.) Come back from AFK
10.) Up
11.) Die
12.) Rinse and repeat
You know the rest.

and again, i know....
First i put on this cool japanese wwii pilot outfit. Then i log on, grab my japanese flag in one hand a glass of saki in the other. I then start screaming all the japanese i know very loudly in quite the menacing tone. At this point the kids start getting scared, which in my mind means im "ready". I then start my flight, most the time i just get hoed by some niki, in a very nasty manner i might add, resulting in me throwing the cat across the room, really hard. So take note: when you ho, a cat gets hurt.
i hate that cat.

4. Run FS, shut down Avast
5. turn on ventrilo
6. enter game
7. go to TA to calibrate
8. enter MA and sit in gv to study the situation
9. Soon tell myself that all must pay for the atrocities they are committing now.

What a great thread, truly epic. Well here goes mine.
1: Boot PC.
2: Click F1 to continue though errors. :D
3: Put headset on.
4: Log onto Luke.
5: Close all unnecessary programs that are running in the background, AVG, MSN Messenger, EA Downloader etc.
6: Un plug my gaming mouse and just leave my special 4 year old AH2 ball mouse in.
7: Log onto vent. and say "Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasp" to Bruv and my Squadies.
8 Listen to Bruv's daily news, mainly about how he has just owned a bunch of random guys in the LWM.
9: Complain about LWM caps and go make myself a cup of tea and grab a few biscuits. mmmmmmmmm.
10: Log into the LWM.
11: Find the best fight and unleash the beast.
