I'm using vista...

That is not going to be helpful.   We need the DXDIAG output in order to see what drivers are loaded and the computer configuration.

In the case that you don't know how to retrieve a DxDiag output, simply go to: Start>Run
Type in: dxdiag
Press OK. Let it load (Loading bar is located on the bottom left of the DxDiag utility) then press the, "Save all Information" button. Save it to your desktop for easy access. Then open the file you just saved, highlight the text from the top down to the section labeled, "DirectInput devices." Then copy the text you highlighted and paste it here.

That's your DxDiag output. :aok
