Anybody ever heard of these?
Binaural beats are produced when two tones of slightly different frequencies are played separately in each ear. When the brain comes into contact with two slightly different tones a binaural beat is produced that is the average and difference between the two original tones. For example, a 100 Hz tone and a 110 Hz tone will form a 105 Hz tone pulsating 10 times per second. One may effectively "hear" a binaural beat, with the aid of stereo headphones, by playing two similar tones in each ear. By altering the tone in each ear a new binaural beat may be heard.
Binaural beats can be used to change the predominant brain wave frequency in a process called brain wave entrainment. It has been said that by changing the predominant brain wave frequency of the brain one may feel any number of effects including:
* Stress reduction
* Sleepiness
* Change in consciousness
* Feeling of "oneness"
* Detached Awareness
* Health improvements
* Increased memory functioning
* Increased focus
* Increased energy flow
* Increased creativity
* Increased intuitive knowledge
* And more...
I was trying out one that helps you have an "Out Of Body Experience" It worked, and this was my first ever OBE EVER, it was so amazing. I could walk down the street.... fly down the street... or look at the street from above. All in my thoughts... It was basically a dream, but I had complete control over it, and it was 30x more vivid.
I also tried one to calm me down and it worked very well.
I am now obsessed with these things... The upcoming series of nearly impossible tests at school are not worrying me at all after I listen to some of these relaxing ones... they can even spark memory.
There's ones that can make you feel like your high, or on drugs too though, so be careful. It's rumored that some can kill you, but only if you have a serious mental illness.
*please note* You must have stereo headphones on and, yes, plugged into your computer in order for this to work.

Must be me, all I get from these things are headaches. :confused:

it did.
i wouldn't be surprised if it's being tried again though. i had read somewhere that a couple of retail stores that had shoplifting problems was experimenting with it. the stores they used itin saw almoxt a 40% reduction in shoplifting.

Its not subliminal messaging. It's more hypnosis...

i know...........
i think these beats can be played low enough that you don't consiously hear them though, although you ARE hearing them. they amplify the effects.
i'll ask my hypnotist friends..........

OK,
Sounds like fun. Anyone know the level of sounds within or out of human hearing ranges that can be harmfull? Lets not put the sounds in before we find the safe medium.
That being said, I'm looking into it, first to get the safey limits set in stone then I'm sending my kids to Mars, or maybe fly over to that babe Hillarys house for some love'n
:aok

They even have binaural beats that are supposed to make you feel like your on drugs, they different ones for different drugs, I'm kinda skeptical on it though.

Yea I have no intention of even trying those...
On some beats I get this kind of metallic sound afterwords....
It's like everybody is speaking into a well or giant bucket... or a sewage system. It goes away after a while.
