Title: "Landing" a vehicle sortie
Post by: Fury on July 07, 2000, 08:29:00 AM
I'm sure it's top secret information, but would anyone like to share how the "land" their vehicle sorties?

Here's some stuff I've tried:

A) park in a bomber or fighter hangar, seems to work.

B) park on runway, can't remember if I tried this one yet

C) drive back to vh and park.  This seems to work but only *some* of the time.  It seems that I get a ditch if the vh has taken damage but is not dead?  I can't think of any other reason I'd get a ditch inside the vh.  I won't call it a bug, just looking for some verification on this from any other vehicle drivers.

Rgr, I would like to see 'successful landing' as well, and while we're in the subject, I'll bring up the point again that we need separate stats if possible for the Vehicles, rather than using bomber stats for such.

Pyro posted in his latest "news" message what were likely to be addressed in the next patch (1.03p4):

When at a Airfield I always stop on the runway. It gives me a "landed" always. At vehicle depots I have tried going to the hangar, but have never got anything else but a "ditch". I may be because it had taken damage like you said.
