I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but "here goes".
Our Squadron, The False Prophets, is having custom T-shirts made. The graphic is below:
We are paying $15.00 each plus UPS. If any other squadrons are interested, please PM me and I will set it up. I will need a full sized image of your squadron logo, for starters. In order to get a break on doing the art work conversions. The outfit that is doing this for us needs at least a 5 shirts order to start. After that they will do them in "ones and twos" all by credit card over the phone. The company that is doing our shirts is a long established and reputable shirt printing and embroidery shop in Sacramento, CA.

Nice design, is it goin to have each of yalls names on the back? Anyway, if the rest of my squaddies want to i wouldnt mind gettin one.

We are getting white shirts with the graphic on the front left pocket, each shirt will have our players individual gameID in the center. I used mine for the example because I have already ordered mine and the artwork was finished. They have a aproximate 10 day turn around on these shirts... The actual graphic is 4.6"X3.6", Let me know via PM if you put anything together.

Good idea!!
Although I think there is a copyright on the usage of the VF-31 insignia on a T-Shirt.

I read their privacy statement (for VF-31) and there is no mention of image copyrights... I would GUESS that for our purposes (non-commercial usage for members of an on-line Combat Flight Simulator community) that there would be no conflict. The Navy might actually welcome the free publicity as a means of attracting up and coming avaitors... If Aces High was on the shirt somewhere it would disdinguish it from belonging to an actual member of the Navy's VF-31... IF HTC would consent to us using Aces High on our shirts. You might be able to get permission from the VF-31s Squadron Commander via e-mail and explaining what you wanted to do. Just a thought.

IF HTC would consent to us using Aces High on our shirts that would be sweeett. Free advertising my friend.
Well the VF-31 are now the VFA-31 so it may not be so bad. We should really be called the “VF-6” not the VF-31. Our founder did not look to deep into the history I think (I am not the original ‘CO’ btw). He wanted “31” in the name so that it would go w/ his callsign.
We have debated over it and we have conflicting differences when it comes to the name of our squad.

Here is where I got my info:http://www.vf31.navy.mil/privacypolicy.htm (http://www.vf31.navy.mil/privacypolicy.htm)
Specifically it states that:

I thought US Government images could be used by its citizens without charge, as a general rule.

The pigs use cafe press. It's a service that prints any logo on all kinds of stuff and is a good option for getting this type of stuff done cheap ( i think they take a percentage of what you sell )....
theres Potw shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, clocks, dog shirts and thongs! :uhoh for the lil lady.

Here is a link to the company that the POTW use:

If HTC would make his own T-shirts and sell them, it would be better than free advertising for him.
We would be paying HIM to wear his advertisments.
Just a thought. :O

I like the idea of squad T-shirts!
I whipped this up real quick...

It should be cheap too... As I would only have to order one shirt!
-
For anyone looking for shirts for squads (or anything else). I recommend www.spreadshirt.com (http://www.spreadshirt.com)
The are cheaper than cafe press in my experience, and if you have a logo that can me made into a 1-4 color logo(doesnt work for photos ect but for logo style stuff), you can get it done in flex or flock print, which is much nicer than the paint on look in most cases. I use spreadshirt for the shirts I give away on my movie review podcast each month.

Time to get a 40th FS "Fight'n Red Devils" shirt :rock

I have a question reguarding the "thongs".....are these the disposable clothe type ? or are they the long lasting leather??? :O You are supposed to throw them away after wearing it right?(clothe)?

Here's mine. The stain in the blue circle is from a shell casing from a Thompson machine gun. I was at the WWII show in Reading PA an was close up to the action and a casing from the gun flew up and landed on my crossed arms and the shirt. DAM are thos suckers HOT when they come out of those guns !! LOL!

Yea... you can get cutsom printed shirts from many sources. We are using a local (for me) independant business to print ours. They are good people and have worked "above and beyond" to make our stuff look good. I recommend them enthusiastically. The name of the shop is Team Outfitters in Sacramento, CA. here is a link to their web site:
