G'day guys,
I just had a look at my II/JG 3 skin that I submitted to replace NrRaven's and I noticed that the RLM 76 on it has gone completely wrong.
All the other colours look fine, it's just the 76.
I've rebuilt the cache, re-downloaded the .res file.... Still comes up like a neon white.
It looks like this:

And it should look like this:

(the dirt is correct on the stranged coloured one, just the colour is wrong)
Can anyone think of why just the RLM 76 would have gone haywire on me?
Also, while I'm here, I've decided that I've done an absolutely rubbish job on the JG 26 K4 and I'll do my best to get it up to scratch by the next skin update.
Thanks guys

Looks to me like the material file is different. Shoot it at the same sun angle same terrain and compare.

My guess would be that HTC accidentally applied the material file from Raven's original skin... or, maybe they purposely did because Xasthur didn't include one (did you?).

Also, if you look at the underside of the tail section, the two sides don't seem to be matching up (in pic 1). Something you might want to check if you have to resubmit because of the materials file. Excellent work on the small details, lines & rivets, shading, etc.

I believe I did submit the material file, I just left it at 0,0,0 or whatever the default is. Or perhaps I used the B25 file, I can't remember. Having said that, the bottom of my skin looks exactly like a NrRaven job. Do you guys do anything with material files? I've noticed a few problems with both of my K4s and they're all very obvious, so I'll have another go at them now that I've not worked on them for so long and have fresh eyes.

By the way, this is a big problem when updating skins. If the original skin had a material file, then any subsequent update MUST contain a material file. Failure to do so could result in the skin not looking as intended.

Thanks for the direct responses, Skuzzy. Much appreciated, mate.
I'll be sure to include a suitable material file with the correction.
