I'm a big fan of Clint Eastwood, and I think he directed some awesome films...even the ever so slightly flawed Flags of our Fathers I still found very entertaining.
This looks very interesting indeed...I guess it shows you can't be too old to be a tough guy...although I guess a Garand helps!

I don't think there's a director any where in this world that could have gotten Flags correct without some kind of pull-back.  I think Clint did a hell of a job on a book that, at best, is mildy disturbing, and at worst, horrifyingly inhuman.

That being said this looks like an interesting film.  I dig the M1 he's carrying in the movie's poster.

M1's are excellent rifles, besides being cool...
Own 2 of them.. Both originals, not rebuilt...
Hannah and Juliet are much more interesting in person..
Show ya a wild time at the old gravel pit...

"This is MY rifle", and there aren't many like it anymore...

Let me restate: F.O.O.F. is the only book that when I finished I felt an overwhelming urge to cry like a baby.  It's powerful.

Have been an Eastwood-fan since I was 6 yrs old, before I had even seen a movie.
Mom had one of the "Sergio Leone" movie-theme albums, I used to lay in front of
the tv stereo cabinet,(tv didnt work) listen to the record while looking at all the
photographs on the album cover from his westerns.

I also had a "Torino-Sport" exactly like the one in the movie,(72) I bought
while in Ft.Bliss,TX. I had painted mine gloss-red with black race stripes
down the hood and trunk. It was certainly a cop-looker. So needless to
say,I was quite thrilled to see Clint do this movie. I cant wait to see it.  :aok

Ummm.....Fulmar?...sure you have the right thread? lol
