The unarmed reconnaissance version of the P-38.  Does that make it out of the question for a skin?

You should prepare to put German markings on it, because as soon as that plane runs into the enemy.... well...  :noid :lol

But seriously, it looks good.

I must confess that comments like that regarding French pilots, tends to get under my skin.  Considering what St. Ex was doing at a time when he didn't have to, Closterman, Maridor, Andrieux and any number of French combat pilots I can name, I'm hard pressed to find anything questioning their courage funny.  In particular from a cartoon fighter pilot.

As for a recce 38, it's not doable.

Glad Dan said something...

Do you know how dangerous it is to fly a recon bird, often on the deck, without guns, with every gun on the ground and in the air pointed at you?

Thanks for the replies.  I've always admired Saint-Exupéry for his literary and aviation exploits.  I still wouldn't mind seeing a 38J in French colors to recognize the pilots who flew it.

If it's not funny, it's not a joke.

Insult me all you want, just leave the honorable dead with the respect they have earned.

Go ahead and take screen shots of me dying in AH in new and ingenius ways, I'll laugh with you.  :aok
