Hello fellow virtual pilots
As I'm a bit of a noob here I was just wondering what the optimum amount of Beer was for flying. Usually I like to get home for work, crack two beers, complain that I cook all the friggin time and go drink another 6 to 8 beers while flying. My performance level varies greatly through this time. Being Australian I would like to think that I have a good tolerance for beer and was wondering how the rest of you go after a few. Do you get belligerant or uncoordinated, how does it affect your game.

So that's 8-10 beers during an AH session? :huh How often do you get shot down while afk to take a piss? :rofl
During the last BoB frame I drank one beer. ;)
-
I always make sure pissing and refreshing my drink takes place in the hanger

That's a good number, I'm about the same.
I don't do it all the time but it certainly helps for friendly DA sessions.

i find a six pack does the job
makes it more exiting but not falling off the computer chair
until i hit the budz and it all over after that :P
-
I've never counted. Lets just say alot. 5 beers a hour for 4 or 5 hours.............BURP!
-
Usually start with 3 or 4, if Friday or Saturday, then what's in the beer drawer is the limit, if a work day, I try to stop before 10.

ONLY 8-10? That's the problem :P
-
The problem usually with scenarios and Finns is, that while we wait (excessive amounts of time) for lift off, all Finns usually drink all their beer on tower and whine about not having any beer left when we finally get in air :devil
-
On Friday Night I usually wait till about 10PM to start because of FSO.
I try to make sure by Roll I have had only a few. But after the event starts the beer starts to flow like...well...beer.
I love Friday Nights.
-
after a six pack is when i seem to do my best flying.....on the weekends i tend to switch to whiskey  and i usually dont do as well i dont think i become uncoordinated i just lose any SA i might have and my decision making goes downhill in a hurry

The usual squad scene on a Friday night ...

Same here JB....6 to 10 beers mixed in with a shot or two of takillia....usually equals to bad decisions and
sa goes out the window.

I agree with my esteemed colleague.

I like to have six throughout the evening. They are 24oz's so I nurse them a little. My flying may be a little impaired, but I never get belidurount with anyone. I do, however, come up with some interesting scenerios that I really wouldn't have thought of stone sober.
<S> good question
100Coogn
-
no beer only a bottle of wine :D
-
my dogfighting skills improve with each beer up to 3 beers, after which there is a sharp decline..
After about 6 I am relegated to flying bombers due to degraded motor skills and frequent pee breaks.
Jarbo on the other hand... will hammer em down and fly the jug untill he can no longer remember how to start the engine. Its hard to watch, actually no, its hilarious to watch. the conversations on VOX are something to behold aswell.

I do not count beers :)
Two bottles of whitewine is ok, 3rd is TOO MUCH :uhoh
-
Beer is nice to have while playing AHII, but I much prefer a Rum N Coke while running into trees :D
-
well, everybody has thier tolerance so there is no set #, so just keep putting them down until you 'think' doing better.
-
If I feel like drinkin' it's usually a shot of knob creek on ice, or an ice cold Premium. Usually yields positive results :)
-
Thanks guys I'm glad I'm not the only one flying with only one eye open
-
beer? you guys drink beer?
