Title: homemade cockpit hardware
Post by: SFRT - Frenchy on November 17, 2008, 05:21:40 PM
So ... due to the broad range of our comunauty, someone around here probably knows.

I want to build a cheap car racing cockpit. Something basic, some kind of frame, a seat, and some FFB driving hardware. Now my question is, what can I use to "bump" my cockpit platform when my force feedback wheel jerks. I don't want anything fancy that simulates lateral G forces with advanced multi hydraulic cylinders, just "a vertical kick".

is something like that expensive? How would I set it up so the "thing" knows ti has to kick?

Buy a horse. Wire force feeback output directly to horse's balls. Position horse behind cockpit.

Your wife has balls?

Seriously though, how would you get her to STOP kicking?

Here's something to consider for exhaust tones and crashes:

Lemme think some more for your question on arms.
