109D Rotte Versus Spitfire - Head to Head!
I captured this brief clip when flying with DrFunk at TT. Flying on his wing, with no icons (usually I just fly with no enemy icons), we attacked a Spitfire head on.
This clip has a sky full of smoke, gun barrel flames, debris, oil and empty shells flying past my canopy. The three aircraft come withing feet of each other....simultaneously
There are two clips for download. A shortened, silent slow motion clip, you can watch it to see the incredible detail of the AcesHigh2 graphics engine.
And a full length, 60 frame per second clip.

Mega High Definition film. 1680x1050 (16:10 widescreen aspect ratio) at 60 frames per second. (divx v6 .avi format)

Footage
This film was shot in the Late War arena.
Length:
10 seconds
Software

Troubleshooting
Do you have sound but no video? Download Divx codec at the site below
http://www.divx.com/
Is the video playback jerky/less than 60 frames per second/sound out of sync?
Your computer may not be fast enough to play the film back in real-time. My Core2Duo laptop with integrated intel graphics can't play this film smootly. My Core2Quad with 8800GTS can play the film OK.

Now I feel like I have to get a new system!!

33 MB for 10 seconds of film? You could easily cut that in half by reducing fps to 30. Then, you always have to consider what resolution the viewer is running at, no point giving him higher resolution than what he's capable of viewing. A 1280x1024 screen will not give you 1680x1050.

nice film,
you gangbanging HO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rofl :rofl (that is a j/k by the way)
how the hell did the spit fly through that many cannon rounds and not go pop!? :huh :huh
your aim is as bad as mine! :O :O

109D? What are you talking about?
Doh :rofl
Oh, well, here is a 109D for you:

System specs please, including display: :aok
Are you telling me that the film you posted was entirely unedited ? :huh

If they're your in-game gun sounds, Southy, I absolutely must have those. They are awesome!

All, thanks for the interest.
The films are based on a FRAPS capture that was running live-in-game. Its not from the recorder. It does have post processing video work done to it, for example the contrast and colour has been adjusted with a very small 'widescreen' letterbox added to change it from 16:10 to 16:9. But the source clip simply a FRAPS capture that was running as we made the head on pass.
My system is a Quad Core 6600 2.6ghz, overclocked to 3.0ghz. It has 4 gig of RAM(running 1:1 somewhere around 667 MHZ) , Nvidia 8800GTS-320meg at 4xantialiasing. My motherboard is a cheap one, same as the 8800 is an out of production cheap one. All game detail is set to maximum, including terrain visibility (important). Aircraft skins are set to hires 1024. Its displayed at 1680x1050 resolution on a 22 inch monitor.
In game, I get between 25-60FPS. I would estimate, with FRAPS running, I get around 25 real frames per second displayed.
I hope to get a Nvidia 280GTX to hold the frame rate up consistently at 60FPS and hope to get a new CPU cooler, to bring it up to 3.2-3.3ghz(FSB memory closer to 800mhz).
The sound pack I am using comes from USRanger: RangerSounds2.1 available from the link found at the base of USRangers signature in the following BBS thread:

Thanks for the reply, I knew those graphics were tweeked. :D

Got the same CPU as you do but 4 GB 800MHz RAM and two GTX280 cards in SLI on a Samsung SyncMaster 305T Plus 30" display. The system push 2560x1600 resolution at 16Q AA at a steady 60 fps. Running FRAPS capturing at half-resolution (1280x800) I set it to 30 fps, still very playable but not as smooth. Next system upgrade will be the CPU.
Hope you enjoy the TrackIR, I absolutely (http://hem.bredband.net/turnik/icons/wub.gif) mine.

I don't believe AH supports multi-GPU processing.
-
I don't know, maybe not AH as such but the Nvidia Control Panel software/drivers and Nvidia harware does so it doesn't matter. :aok You can override any graphics settings in any game with the control panel, settings such as vertical sync, antialiasing, SLI mode, texture filtering etc etc.
