I don't post on the forum much, but with all the negative Nancy's lately and the unnecessary drama clouding the forums - I thought I'd post a positive thread about how much I enjoy this sim and flying with/against most of the people who play it.
Went up last night with my squad (Righteous Vengeance) in P-47-D11's - 6 of us I believe, for a combat air patrol around an enemy v-base / adjacent airfield. A lot of us were apprehensive about flying the D11 as not many people had experience in it, including myself. Anyways, we took off, paired up with a wingman, and all of us formed up very nicely. It was really cool to see everyone in position and climbing out to the combat area, some hilarious radio chatter ensued, something to do with the color and consistency of Paladin3's poop (don't ask :lol) it was late, so it was pretty damn funny.
We arrive on station at about 12,000 ft, and begin searching for bandits. We spot several cons low that were on climbout to the V-base. Our flight called targets and we dove to engage - splashing a few on that first pass, and back up we went. The enemy activity increased a bit and there were ample low/medium alt targets to engage. We cleared each others 6's, and downed many bandits thanks to excellent setups by our squad mates. It was awesome to see/hear us all working together as an effective fighting unit.
I got into a bit of trouble a time or two and my squadmates came in to bail me out - it was getting pretty intense, seemed that we would never make it out of there alive, and some of us didn't :(.
Before I knew it I had 8 kills and the rest of the squad had quite a few as well - we all decided we had to get out of there before it was too late. So we begin egressing, but one of my squadmates behind me had a Spit hot on his tail - so I pulled up and over to engage, my 8 .50 cal's turned his crate into a ball of flames - I turn back home, only this time I have a Spit closing on my 6, so the squadmate I just saved comes back around and engages the Spit, we both end up turning with him, believe it was WwM - he put up a heck of a fight, we eventually downed him and headed for home.
I forget how many kills the squad landed, but it was pretty impressive. I had a blast - flying and fighting with my squad mates and good opponents are what make this sim so fun and rewarding.

Nice job killing the Spitdweebs who try to latch onto the butt of any aircraft trying to rtb. :devil

I wonder how long it's going to take for someone to post bashing the OP for having fun, posting his AAR and then accuse him of being a shade and driving him from the game.

He had fun, used AH terminology, got multiple kills, appears to be new and the kicker is he posted an AAR. Must be a Shade. :devil
Such audacity. :D
That glock kid should be along anytime now to post something inane.

Lol, whenever skytiger posted or chatted on 200, about 25 different red flags and sirens would go off. Obviously a great post by Cobra and obviously not a shade :aok

Thanks for the replies guys - I'm not new to simming, been doing it for about 13 years, started with USNF Gold, ATF, WB's and AH I, WWIIOL, and lot of Falcon 4.0 along with various other sims - so I'm familiar with the terminology, :D My thousands of hours of sim time helps me pick up chicks yo "Hey baby, I'm a badass fighter pilot . . . on the internet, I got a sweet PC & HOTAS, wanna knock boots?" :lol
