lots of good stuff to take a look at, pushing the limits of the 190A5.
http://www.freeroleentertainment.com/longfight.ahf
the fight was arranged without 20mm cannon, 2 guns were loaded then dumped. 25% was used.
enjoy
:aok

was fun... think i gave u a lot more crossing snapshots, but i had a few small sustained burst hits. 2 x 7.9mm ain't gonna do much dmg, lol.
u held it slower and steadier for the most part.

At the time of this posting, there have been 18 "reads"...not one (1) thank you for posting the film...allow me to be the first! Great training aid, albeit a tad on the "show-off" side. :rofl :aok

looks like a good fight. Quesion, how where you able to keep the 190 inthe air at such low speeds and still pull some moves with stalling?

Bat eats a lot of strange English grub that that causes extreme flatulence. with the closed cockpit and poor ventilation in the 190 it gives him that extra little bit of lift :rofl :rofl :rofl
Actually Bat is probably one of the very best A5 drivers in the game and masterful overall in slow speed high AoA situations. I've actually had him drop more then 1 bird 500+ ft in a true tail slide then flip it over on me :salute

thanks for comments Den, S!. Oak, light weight with regards to ammo and fuel too, gentle stick movements. Shane displays far more experience and control. Lets forget who's flying and just look at the two planes flying in a way most dont get to see, but all are capable of. Also thanks to shane for the fight, dont concentrate on me :)
here are four more 190 fights from shane's perspective, in a zip file.

I'm sure we'll get to play catch up over the weekend :rock

I call the most jammy reversal ever at 07:23, reminds me of of something that I did to Baitbug years back.
Does this go on for another 7 mins. :uhoh
-
That was rather epic, throttle control 101. :D
Good job guys, <S>
-
thats just amazing you two are able to do that. I am a 190 flyer too and still trying if figure how to pull some of these move at low speed. I asked Storch to show me how to make moves at low speed and still cant do it.
-
any time you ask there will be a number of people who want to give tips Oak. i would be glad to spend some time if you find me, sure shane and others would also.
S!

Thx, i get use some help.

Very nice :aok
A lesson in close quarter combat and what can be done in a plane that doesn't turn.. :lol :lol
Would have been a lot shorter film if ya's would used some Kannon... :rofl
Batty,Shane :salute

Great stuff! :salute

Impressive! I'd never keep a 190 under control at those speeds! Thanks for posting that up. Mechanic, I think you would have had him at 3:56 if you'd had the cannons. :aok

remember friends, we aint showing for personal praise, although your complimnts are most kind. No need to even post but feel most free to get the clips and create discussion or simply enjoy them and dont bump your post count.
Dave, hehe.....lets put it this way, if we were using cannon i dont really want to be fighting shane at all :cry

Badger is a Navy SEAL, did you know that? :O

being a badger navy seal is for girls!1

i'd like to do the 190a5 v spit5/8/9 mgs only, altho this would favor the spit, i still think you'll be surprised what the 190 can do.
i also think even at 50% fuel we'd be able to handle the planes about the same speeds - 190 v 190 that is.

Well, Badger could be a girl... But I've heard badgers are kinda mean and this one has an MP5... Soooo, I think I'll just skip the whole checkin' thing. M'kay? Thanks! :D
EDIT: Sorry for the spammy post thing, just that I've seen that Badger site before on another board...
I'd be really interested in the 190A5 vs Spit films!
-
hmm talk about badgers or log in and see if you guys come to kill me, tough choice. cya :p

Very nice. A little bit of everything in there, excellent E/angles transitions, lots of wing catching, nice scissoring, beautiful top reversals, great stall recoveries, lots of overshooting, just perfect.
If you ever want to be good (or just want to see masters at work), that's the film to watch/learn from.
-
WOW! Truly impressive you two. You always hear about true dogfights being a perfect ballet between two equal pilots, and well, there you go.
Just watching this really, really makes me want to come back and fight some of the best the game has to offer (if only to keep getting worked), because if I was even apart of a fight like that for a minute it would all be worth it.
Great job you two, keep films like this coming!

Dang Tex, I thought I'd said that...... tho not quite as eloquently. :devil

ok i lied, the comments do make me smile, thanks again all, for kinds words to shane and myself :salute

Bat can control the nose and track you accurately for a shot post-stall is the thing. Especially in a Mossie.
I have flown with some great sticks and deadly marksmen, but I've never seen anyone deliberately fly the plane in any controlled and intelligent manner on the "wrong" side of ~16 degrees AoA like this. This must be what fighting an F-22 is like...

=D bbs are so fun to duke it on w/. Good stuff fellas.
