Was flying in the DA, trying to get better. Was still in my first sortie (maybe only 5 minutes in), and my screen did a little "hiccup". It flashed real fast, froze, and then unfroze but with a really big problem...

Those tree's are other players still flying, and they were moving (I was still flying normal too).

I bailed out and looked up and say this! (HT hiding a new map!  :D )

I had this happen once before, and another a LONG time ago. First time we just reset the computer and that fixed it, but apparently not perminitly. The other time was last month when I was on a cruiser's 8" guns shooting up a town. It did the same thing - hiccup, freeze, unfreeze with terrain everywhere - and I thought about reporting it here for some help, but it didn't happen again 'till today.

How would I fix this!?? Is it something with the video card? I haven't had this problem on any of my other games though.

It looks like you have a driver conflict to me. Its pretty easy to check if thats it. Uninstall the device (reboot) clean the drivers off (reboot) and then reinstall drivers (reboot). Even with XP I think you should get your drivers from the manufacturer and not NVidia.

Shoot the trees!   That is an "in game revamp" if I've ever seen one.

Angry, you get the Oak tree though, you're a haXX0r with the Hickory.    Guppy's Maple trees ignite rather quickly, it's rumored that he waters them with Alcohol.

But Stang?    :uhoh    That Cherry tree is evil.

OK, I'll show my stupidity.  I thought Nvidia was the manufacturer.  If this isn't so, where do you get the drivers?  I have a GeForce 7900 GT/GTO.

That would be my first bet. But couldn't it also be the game's cache? As in a DL error, cause the screen "hicup" freeze, unfreeze sounds like a driver conflict, but the change in the "scenery" ( ;)) doesn't strike me as something the drivers would really fowl up like that...

My .02, correct me if I'm wrong.

Nvidia makes the chipset, the manufacturer makes the card.

I had that happen as well but it was because of an Nvidia setting, I was playing an older Open GL game I think and forgot to change the setting back.
