A friend of mine and fraternity brother commited suicide earlier this afternoon. He hung himself in the fraternity house basement. I ask that you please keep Greggory "Junnior" Johnson Jr and his family and his freinds in your prayers tonight. I also ask for your advise, I have never had to deal with death in such a close way and I dont know what to do, any suggestions would be helpful.
Thank you for your time, prayers, and help. I will see you in the skies in a few days :salute

Sory to ear that. :frown:
As far as dealing with it, I'm not mind expert. I just know that we are not animals, we don't crawl up in a corner when mortaly wounded and wait to die. We keep on trucking, because that's what the human race does best, adapt and overcome. You will indeed grow wiser, but you still have stuff to do, duties & responsabilities and many life experience to be discovered.

Curlew, I am sorry for your loss and send my prayers.
As to how to move forward. Remember and honor the good things about him. Death is always hard to deal with. Other than what I have already said there is not much that can be said to help with your grief. <S> sir.

sorry to hear this. the best thing you can do is to talk to someone about it. your parents, or even go to y our local church, and talk to them.
they may not have any answers, but just letting it out, will help immensly.

Sorry to hear this Curlew
Stay strong... but don't be afraid to talk to someone. Every major university has a SAP (student assistance program) with counseling available. Good luck buddy.

Ive lost a few friends like that. And had to deal with far to many suicides on my job. A healtfelt :pray given.
I dont have any advice. Nobody does. Other then walking into a church with his friends and family. Unfortunatly we are all much more vulnerable and weaker then we let on. So dont hate your friend for this because whatever was in him is in all of us and we are all frail vessels in this life.
And anyone that says different is a Liar.

I've lost a friend in Iraq, and one in San Diego to a motorcycle accident.
Honestly, what helped me : Burying my head in a good book and my fellow Marines.
Get together with your friends/frat brothers and talk.
After that all you can do is move on and live.

Sorry about your friend Curlew.
My advice is to be with your fraturnity brothers during all this. Being with those who knew him, understand how much he meant to you guys, and are sharing in the loss.
