Salute Kilz, and the 173rd for all the assistance and help in putting this together.

I wasn't going to post about Gene's death in here due to the fact of in the past 7+ years with HTC I wasn't interested in the BS or Bashing that generally follows these kinds of posts as demonstrated in the past.

Gene (SWfire) had only been with HTC since this last May.  SWfire was a Firefighter/Paramedic and we hit it off immediately as there's been more than one occasion a Firefighter has managed to bail my arse out as a cop.  When his widow contacted me and informed me of his passing, she applogized because she knew of his absolute passion for the squad and the game.

The Missing Man Memorial flight is a very small way to let Sue (his wife), and family, know his passion was not without cause.  We plan to film the event from several angles, and present the final edited version to the Knight family.  Anyone that can help make this happen would be grately appreciated.  Those interested please PM Kilz for details.

Salute SWfire, Rest in Peace Brother.

Kilz, SWrokit -

My father passed a couple of years ago the day before Thanksgiving, so I thoroughly understand the family's pain in losing a loved one during the holidays.

And this nation cannot say enough good about, nor really ever repay, our firefighters and other emergency responders, so with that I...

Salute  SWfire

...and wish his family strength to get throught this.

Hold a Tiger for me, Kilz.  I'll try my damnedest to be there.

Thank you from the 125th Spartans for your good thoughts and well wishes.

Thank you also for those who made tonight's Memorial flight a success.  It was a wonderful thing to behold.

Special thanks to Kilz for helping coordinate our P-51 flight with the Tigers on the ground and the Goons in the air.

Well done, one and all.  Much appreciated.

I would like to take time to thank all those that participated in the memorial flight today.  The flight would not have been possible without all of you.

Thanks to Kilz and the 173rd who have been working with us for the past month in pulling this together.

And a special thanks to Ren, of the HTC training staff, who stuck around during the memorial to ensure all needs were met, and the ceremony went uninterrupted.

The memorial was filmed by several folks, from several different views.  All films will be gathered and edited into one final version.  Once the final version has been completed a copy of it, along with a copy of this post, will be given to Fire’s family.  I’ll also post a copy on these forums for everyone to review.

Again, thanks to everyone.
