Title: Overall Best Gun package for a single engine pistion fighter

I'm sure there was as thread here that was discussing this very subject, I can't seem to find it. Was it not decided that a 30mm Firing through the spinner and twin 20mm was the overall selection?

I'm not sure about the thread, but I do know where that gun package has been defined the best for a figther in war time: Tony Williams' article at the following link.
