Title: WindowsXP Pro - click any folder- search results pops up instead

Can anyone help me with the following problem?

I go to windows explorer or even try to open a folder on my desktop and the following happens:

WindowsXP Pro - click any folder- search results pops up instead

this is drving me nuts, and I have searched uneventfully trying to fix this

I recently bought and installed Nero9, I uninstalled it, I went back to a previous restore point, nothing seems to change it back to what it normally did
which is: click on folder folder opens and shows all contents ( files, pics, etc.)
