Title: Weird Turkey Recipes for Thanksgiving
Post by: Tac on November 26, 2008, 05:22:08 PM
I've never liked turkey that much and my family isn't a fan of turkey either. So this year I took the big bird and decided to cook it differently.

Took that turkey, took out all the meat I could, threw the bones away and most of the skin (too much fat), kept the legs intact with their skin.

Chopped the meat into bite size, thin pieces (not the legs, they stayed whole).

Chopped onions.
Added some herb seasoning.
a small amount of mustard (yellow mustard)
8 cubes of turkey flavor bouillon pulverized out of their cube shape
Parsley
garlic
diced potatoes.

dumped it all on the slow cooker, set to 6 hours.

4 hours into it, added the key ingredient:

CHILI POWDER (as in mexican chili not the jalapeņo chili)

mmm turkey chili pot roast.  :aok
