I overheard someone on Range a few nights ago talking about a download for new game sounds. It appears this is outside of HTC (assuming it's been done).
Can anyone give additional info regarding this? Location, possible gameply issues, how to download & save.. etc.
I'm posting this assuming HTC is aware and ok with it (similar to skins).
If not, I'll steer clear. Just curious.
Thanks.

I have a link inside my signature you might be interested in.
It's only 4.8 megs and not a sound pack so you will have to do some copy and paste work.
It has a few different gun packages, bullet hits, gun sights and plenty of extras that you can add into your sound folder to make for a more customized and unique flight.
It's worth downloading.

There are many different people who have given back to this community with great add on sounds.
Personally my favorites are Mitsu's and TicToks.

Another vote for Twinboom's, thats what I use and god know's everyone wants to be like me!

I've only tried Delta's soundpack, it seems to be the most updated one (so new sounds for the newer planes/vehicles to AH). I've wanted to try Mitsu's, but it seems very outdated. Fruda I think is working on his but it was getting out of date.
I'm interested in checking out the rest that are more up to date. Does anyone who has tried Deltas and some of the others and has a recommendation for the next sound pack I should try?

If your into 109's then Twinbooms is the best without question, I don't fly any of the other crates so I can't comment.

I have not tried Deltas but I think I have the rest of them. TwinBoom has a nice set up. It's loud and has some new stuff added. My favorite might be Mitsu's and the most realistic, engine wise..and other, is probably Rangers.
The great thing about member made sound packs is that people take the time to make them FOR US and you can mix and match any sound your not happy with.
The one in my sig is a compilation of my favorite sounds found or made.
I greatly appreciate all the work that has gone into complete sound packs as I've found it very difficult and time consuming to make them.
There are quite a few in my link that are brand new to AH. I have been messing with some engine on and off timings lately only to have made a few. Timing them to the smoke and getting the right sound I want to hear is hard to do. They are not in the add on pack tho.
To all the players who contribute in any way to making the game more fun or enjoyable, A big Salute and you have my gratitude!

That's exactly why I use twinbooms sound packs.
You really can't go wrong though, I've used just about all of them at some point and they are all very good.

I use sounds from all of the sound packs. No sense in limiting yourself to just one sound pack :aok

I agree 100%
I've been thinking of organizing all the the different "Extra" sounds into their own separate folders for people to sift through. IE: Gun packages, Debris, Hit sounds, Landing gear, rocket, tank hits, Tank guns, Scrapes, Explosions..ect. ect.
The Fugitive made a training video on how to choose a plane from within the game for the noobs. I wonder how hard it would be to make one for people wanting to mix and match sounds.

Lately I've been flying 109s, 190s and P51s. I'll have to checkout Twinboom's sounds for the 109s on your recomendation, thanks.
