Title: knight flak ieffective
Post by: 19kilo10(ironnite) on November 27, 2008, 02:01:20 PM
Why is the knight base flak MUCH less effective than Bish or Rook? Is there an inbuilt bias against the knights?

INteresting post.

You are mistaken.  You will find that once you switch to Rook the problem will follow you there as well.  Why?  Because you are a loser.  Thats why.

Seriously, whats wrong with your thought process that this seems even remotely likely?

Because S.A.P.P hates the Knights.

Don't forget Knights do suffer more from ENY than Rooks and Bish and they also lose most collisions.

At least that's what I read repeatedly from long-term players in Knightland. On top of that they knew HT hates Knights and HTC staff is occasionally discong them when being in m3 close to maproom.

Hmm . . . perhaps if they would change countries once in a while, they would know better . . .

After all, everyone knows HTC has it in for the Bish.   :noid

HTC just loves the Rooks, 'cause they have all their historically correct raids an' such.... And yeah, the Knights look like they suck from over here in Rooklandistan, too. That's why we hit THEM in the MoM! Bish would have killed nearly all the bombers! ;)

Then again, there was that ungodly 26k mountain..... :rofl

not that i absolutely agree with the original statement as it was made, i believe, in an air of complaint and not as a question of observations of others.

but i have noticed that when i was flying as a bish the other day and fighting near a knight base the ack was not hitting me as quickly as normal. normally when i am dragged near a base within a couple of seconds i am torn up by the ack, (too dumb to notice the danger then to stubborn to break away) but near this knight base i was only pinged a couple of times and not damaged. it was that way for more than just one pass within the range of the guns and that is why i recall it. it was unusual.

now i will say that i have no idea how many of the guns were still operational, hell the base could have been down to only 1 gun across the base from me, i don't know. i just remember being surprised that it didn't manage to cause me any grief.

as far as other bases go i couldn't say, it was Tuesday afternoon in the titantic Tuesday arena. i don't remember which base i was at, just that it was knight.

so take it for what its worth, not much.

I'm assuming you have not taken a class in statistics before?  Odds are odds.  Sometimes they work in your favor, sometimes not.  In the end the average is the same.  Either that or God hates you.  Your pick.

Then you notice later that your flaps were down.
