I believe your right. I liked the movie.

I didn't see it, yet. When I read the review, I thought it wasn't worth the money for the ticket. I'll wait for TV or take the DVD one of these days.

Not that I didn't like it, it was just really strange.

"Why do you wear that stupid bunny suit?"
"Why are you wearing that stupid man suit?" :)
Loved that flick.

It makes sense and makes the movie much more interesting when you realize that his decision changed everyone's lives for the better. (Tried to explain that without giving away the movie to those who haven't seen it.) You kinda gotta think about all the events in the movie and how he influenced them as a person.
Really a pretty good movie! :)

** SPOILER ALERT!!! **
Protagonist suffers life threatening event but miraculously escapes death.
Protagonist's life returns to normality.
Events proceed which make protagonist question the nature of his reality.
Regular meetings with a proxy of some kind (god/devil/angel) who hints but doesnt fully explain what is happening. It is up to the protagonist to work out for himself what is happening (closure/rite of passage?)
Eventual realisation that his death is inevitable, and indeed is/has happened already.
um ... which film am I describing? :D

Yeah, one sucked the other was a good flick. :D

I really like films like this. They don't follow the standard Hollywood formula. Another of my favorites is Vanilla Sky.

Neither by the sounds of it... Jacobs Ladder was a thriller/horror about a vietnam soldier who's life is really an hallucination as he lays dying, Donnie Darko is a psychological drama about a troubled teen who's eventual understanding of time travel allows him to sacrifice himself to save his girlfriend....the only real thing that is the same is both have "dream" sequences and the twist endings

Never said something like that. I said Donnie Darko isn't starting from an original idea.

In fact, they all have another formula... the same one, described by Holmes.
Tronski, better to watch the movie your avatar comes from! ;)
