come on guys we need another CV plane!, Especially a Il2 version with Cannons!
-
That's what happens when a SBD, P-51, and seafire have a 3-way
-
This has become a very commonly requested aircraft.
Too bad the wartime version is so much uglier. Still, it would be a good addition.

Here is the uglier WW2 version, main difference was the chin radiator.

It would be a pretty good MA furballer. Those fowler flaps gave it incredible turning ability for a big plane, think I read somewhere it could turn inside a Zero. Would be a bit like the Hurri IIC in speed and firepower terms but with double the payload and probably a better zoom climb.
Main problem with HTC introducing it is its relatively limited use in WW2, for large scale actions you have the Tirpitz, Palembang and Japanese carrier raids. From a scenario POV a Judy or maybe a Helldiver would be more useful carrier aircraft, although the Firefly would see a lot more MA use than either of these.

It would most likely be perked with those capabilities and the fact that it didn't see much action (like some of our f4U variants)
