I was under the impression that, the best landing in a tail drager was all wheels touching at once, at the lowest possible landing speed? If this is done consistently in a F4 you will ground loop fairly often.
Landing at 150 and holding the nose down works but seems a little odd to me? Maybe someone can enlighten me on this? It almost seems like the tail wheel is not locked?

150???
with full flaps and speed near 100, u will do better.
but be quick on the rudder...

Thanks Mino. I think it's a bug myself.
It will actually be easier to land on a carrier because of the hook... (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) I have seen it happen with minor corrections of the rudder.. I have flown the f4 since it came out and just recently noticed the problem...

I use the "c" and "v" keys for right and left wheel breaking. They only work when both breaks (space key for me) are not engaged. The instant you even remotely think the F4u is going to drift.. get on the c and v keys to straighten it.

Hey Deja - I'll try that! I don't have rudder pedals, but landing never used to be a problem until I tried out the tiffie. It rolls over on the ground so easily, at really low speeds. Using the keyboard rudder is much harder than a set of pedals. I'll use the brake, in future.
