My grandfather (Polish Jew Holocaust survivor) had alot of heart pain so he was taken to the hospital. Later that night my father took my and my brother to see him. We park in the visitor parking lot and come inside and go to the front desk to find out what room he is in. The lady at the desk asked for his and our last name and we told her it was Bonder. Then she sais "Bonder?" My last name is Bonder. It turns out her father was actually the cousin of my Grandfather, they had lived in the same town in poland before the war. The lady at the desks father had escaped past the poland border into russia right before the Natzi militia came and killed most of my Grandfathers family.
The story of my grandfather and grandmother and her sisters escape was amazing and truely sad when i heard it a few years ago, they they went through cold winters for 7 years, to a man hunt for my grandfather the last year.
I'd love to share the story once i could hear it again :salute

Record it. Oral history is the best.

Well, if you record it, put it into the comp and convert it to a mp3 or something...

*edit* I'm sorry, zoozoo ~ seeing bailey's message below reminded me that I passed over that item once I got into the story portion of it. I hope your Grandpa feels better as well. :)

Thx txmom and bailey, its hard dealing with it personally. This was after his first heart attack a few months ago, the nitogen pumped through the oxygen mask he sais makes his chest feek less in pain.
