How about view related delay for icons?

When you are looking to certain view for instance back-view, it takes certain time or delay before the icon pops up depending on range. So, for 6k con it takes maybe 10 seconds before the icon pops up and for 1 k con maybe 2 s

Of course a longer delay should be implemented before the icon disappears again.

So, the target is: con have to spotted and eye followed before it is tagged.

Also icon range should be dynamic depending on light, clouds, on the deck etc.

This is potentially a nice idea. Perhaps make it *range* related time delay?

it would be the most realistic addition that could be made to icons no doubt about it.

believe it or not it takes more than a moment to locate tiny specs in the distance when flying.

Excellent idea!!  And make them "pop up" slowly, being transparent first!

I like it too, by the way.

Sadly, not a new idea at all.  Time-dependent icons have been mentioned quite a few times on these boards, as have translucent icons.

Don't know whether we'll ever see them in AH, but we will undoubtedly see them somewhere else pretty soon  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
