Hitech and Pyro....
Any chance in a future release of being able to set custom plane skins?
Would be an awesome feature for those of us in squads.
Could implement similar to squad logos.

A programming nitemare Nexus and uses alot of memory/resources. At least our logo is on the side of our planes. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
Now I do like the idea of changing the appearance of Terrains like they do in that other Sim.

Only if the plane "skin" is seen the same by everyone, which of course isn't necessary; as we proved in AW3 with SAC.

If Hitech released the ability to customise plane skins then scenarios etc would become considerably more immersive, not to mention less repetitive.
I'm really curious as to why HTC aren't
doing this. The reply I got from HT was that it would take as long to "check" artwork as it would for HTC to create it. This is realy odd, as it's predicated on the fact that it needs checking at all! If the custom plane skin only appears on the front-end of the person with it loaded, what does it matter who "checks" it?

SAC was a great innovation, but I always did think it would be even better if every one could see it.
How does RBII's sytem work? That's a custom paint scheme that every one sees, yer seems not to overly choke things up...

Instead of total skin choice how about just tail colors or wingtip colors available. That wouldnt be bad at all on resources, granted worse than a tiny bmp patch but not much.

Exactly my point B25,
The squadron bitmap isn't large enough to see what squadron the plan is from. Hard to see these even when flying 200-300 yards off your wingman.
Wing tip, tail, and cowling colors would be an execellent compromise.
