Title: Vox not working
Post by: nimble on December 02, 2008, 11:12:16 AM
Hey all,

For some reason I can't seem to get my vox to work. Mic works fine on TS and Vent, battlefield and other games that support voice coms. Not much has changed with my system with the exception of changing from AVG to Bitdefender Total Security 2009 for my virus/firewall stuff. I added AHII to the whitelist, is there another IP i need to add for vox to work? If anyone has any tips I'd appreciate them.. haven't had this problem until now.

Firstly, disable your Anti-Virus software before heading in-game. Although the game is on the white-list, the security software will still analyze packets to and from the game which slows them down and causes lag (seen or unseen.) Secondly, don't run voice software such as TeamSpeak or Ventrillo before entering the game or while you're running the game.

See if that works, if not, we'll see if we can assist you further.

I got it, wasn't ever broked :aok

Worked fine when I tuned to myself, just wasn't getting any responses from bish on radio checks. Oh well, I haven't flown with rooks for a while :)
Sorry for the junk post and appreciate the response Denholm!

Remember, you can always check to see what your mic sounds like in game if you change one of the radio channels to your name.  Say Radio 5, I would enter in my callsign.  Then when I try and talk on it I can heard what my voice sounds like to other players.
