Hello,
I have been flying AHII for about 5 and a half months so far - from the start I've been in a squadron, run by my father and sort of hit the ground running while picking up some advice from members of my squadron. I've become a bit more knowledgeable of my weaknesses from early on and am looking to improve every day - mostly through watching film, reading articles and threads in this forum and of course flying more :D. Thing is, I've never taken the opportunity to get with a formal trainer. I've jumped in the TA for many reasons - prepping for an FSO in a new plane, especially in a role that I'm not very experienced in such as carrier attacks, bombing, JABO etc... but really just learning by myself or with peers. I've been timid to get a hold of a trainer but now feel it's time that I try to extend my abilities and knowledge through working with those who are experienced and willing to work on some problems of mine.
Firstly, I admit to being a dweeb of the Spitfire variety ;). Not really because they're easy to learn in (although they are) but mainly because it's the one WWII aircraft that I admire most. A member of my extended family actually flew Spitfires with the RCAF so I've always had an interest, more so since I started simming, to fly them. My favorite plane in the game is the Spitfire VIII, hands down. It goes without saying that I always come back to flying the Mk VIII when I'm frustrated and having a rough day in other planes, however I'm always trying to learn how to work with other aircraft.
One aircraft I particularly want to learn is the 109. I've tried many times to learn it by myself through trial by fire and usually I get burned 9 out of 10 sorties. However, I still want to fly it. So I was wondering, if anyone would be interested in helping me out in learning to fly the 109 to it's strengths? I know some of them, yet fail to utilize them. I am a patient person and do not feel rushed to learn, so I'm hoping that someone out there feels the same way about training. If you're available to help out, please respond or send a PM my way. I would greatly appreciate any and all help. :salute
