I am pretty sure i'm beating the dead horse on bringing this one up again so for that, I apologize. I know everyone who has played had to end up frustrated because of ditches that should have counted as successful landings (those who actually care about landing anyway)
Just some suggestions here
1. The ''safe'' bubble extends D200 of concrete
2. Within the base borderlines
3. If not D200, then at least half the size of the concrete one is trying to land on. For example, runway isn't very wide across so the 'bubble' should be the size of the larger pads
-
NO, put it on the concrete.

I agree with Bronk. If there was an increased "bubble" as proposed people would still manage to just barely miss that then they would be in here asking for it to be increased again.

Must admit that I have, on occaision, nursed a badly damaged plane all the way to a friendly field only to be frustrated because I slid a couple feet off of the runway.

Hell ever have a gear shot off and not notice? It's happened to all of us. Just up another and try again.

Yes, and it's a pain, but I suppose there's not alot you can do, just need to pay attention more. Ironically I did it in a 109G2 the other day, I suppose it's kind of funny because I heard somewhere that 2/3 of the 109s built were involved in some type of crash on either take off or landing due to the narrow wheel base.
Btw, howdy Rogent, long time no see :lol :rofl

Yeah its been awhile. I'm planning to come back in couple of weeks, just under different name. Haven't picked one yet though.

if you have damage or PW, land on the big pad and slide it in = guaranteed concrete.
If you cant land a bird intact on concrete runway you don't deserve the successful landing.
Its really not that hard either way Rogent, I'm surprised someone with good flying skills as yourself is getting annoyed over something so trivial!

Oh its something that I miss in the game as well since I haven't played in about three months. I just was reading the wish list and this idea came to mind.
