  i am unable to open aces high,evry time i try i get a message that says
   ''aces high has encountered a problem and needs to close''
 then it gives a choice to debug or send a report to microsoft

 i am running windows xp home adition
 my machine is a HP with Pentium 4 3.0g processor  200gb HD  512mb
 yesterday it was running fine, today i cleared my cookies on fire fox and then went to log on AH and it wouldent even start up.
 i have tryed uninstalling it and re installing but that didnt work any ideas would be helpfull

go into settings folder - delete the video.cfg or video8.cfg file and restart game

try that

 ok i just tryed to deleat the vid8 file and it still wouldent work, but the weird thing is when i went back in the folder after retrying it,the file was back again. is that normal LOL

If the file does not exist, the game creates it when it starts.

I would be suspect of a driver being updated and causing the problem.

Or if you went back to a restore point in Windows, it could also cause this.

  found the problem, somehow my vid settings changed from 32 to 16 bt
   after changing it back to 32 it works fine  :aok
