Title: Salvo settings on replaning
Post by: Sparks on July 31, 2000, 06:30:00 AM
Does anyone else find this a pain:-
take a goon to take a base, set the salvo to 10 to dump all the goons at once. Complete the mission and go and grab a buff for the next one. Run in with eggs for ack and promptly dump 10 on one ack because you forgot to reset the Salvo.  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/mad.gif)

Same applies to delay - set delay to 1 sec to pickle down a runway in TA then swapped to MA and promptly laid 3 1000lb eggs 1 sec apart across the apron attacking a hangar  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/mad.gif)

My prefered option would be that delay and salvo settings rest to default on replaning.

How about storing salvo setting in a per-plane basis like the other settings?

(edit)
I stand corrected - that's the way it is now.

Yep, I thought each plane remembers what loadout you had last time for that particular aircraft?

Unless you're new, and you haven't set a salvo for that plane, I believe...then it defaults to whatever salvo you had set in a previous plane, thus his perception.

I like it the way it is. Don't change it.
One possible change is to be able to reset
the salvo to the default by typing :
".salvo"

I may be wrong but I'm going to check - my experience is that salvo and delay settings seem to be cross types globally for the instance of AH you are running - i.e. shutdown AH and restart and settings go back to default (salvo=1 and delay 0.05).
I understand dot commands on this.
