Title: Wishlist: Odds and Ends
Post by: Eustace on December 10, 2008, 10:13:54 PM
1. Windsocks - Every airport has one.  I know there's no wind in the arenas but I like to set it offline and practice landing.
2. Close bomb hits flips vehicles.
3. Reconaissance airplane available at vehicle bases - like the Fi 156 Storch or the Piper L-4 Cub.  Taxi out to the dirt field behind the base, takeoff.
4. Radar that works on PT boat - It's there.  I can see it.  Anyone know if they were for airborne targets or ships?

While being a popular wish and somewhat tempting, I see gameplay issues.
Attacking Vbases with is difficult enough right now. The defender can already easily spot from tower, sit in wait just listening for the enemy (with an uncanny precision in determining exact bearing & range!) and safely land while on concrete or just ditch if he's not, while anything short of capturing the base is almost an assured "death" for any attacking GV.
I just afraid that spotting planes permanently based  at vehicle fields won't exactly encourage attacks...

3) You can always do what I do from time to time. Take a plane to a GV base, land and wait for an attack. Not good for KPH, but who cares?

4) Been asked for many times and I think most everyone agrees.

Bump re: Storch/L4 from VB's. I wasn't here back when this was posted, but I do find myself wishing for it now.

1,2, and 4 would be nice to have. 3 isn't really necessary imho.

Maybe he started at the beginning and he's nearly up to 2009.

What about the "Warning: this topic has not been posted in for at least 30 days.
Unless you're sure you want to reply, please consider starting a new topic."?

As a relatively low post BBS member I understand your mistake of reviving dead a post.  Your next one gets the Batman picture Sir.  IN B4 the lock.

well isn't this funny, everyone always cries out "USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION!!!11!1!Q!!!" and when somebody actually does, such as this guy, if he tries to revive a thread, it gets locked. If he makes a thread with the same topic, he gets flamed with search bar calls.

The point being, "Oh look, this has been asked for before so I don't need to beat a dead horse".

And I know, flames start for starting a new topic too. Same reason.

If one really needs to comment, I recommend starting a new thread which references the myriad of old threads.  You get points for searching that way.   :aok

I'm willing to cut a new guy some slack.  At least there aren't 4 other threads about the same things on the
front page of the wishlist now  <cough, cough ...B-29, M-18 ad nauseum...cough>  :D
