Title: Automatic repair of ack at fields just takin over

Was wondering why the ack at newly acquired fields regenerate upon the switching of ownership yet the hangers and such that were damaged still continue with the rebuild process.
My point being the ack should take the required amount of rebuild time just like the hangers even if ownership changes.Thus requiring the side to keep a closer eye on their newly acquired field less it be takin right back.

The reason is because otherwise the team about to lose a field spawns c47s and dumps troops on the field, and they recapture it right back.  That's why the insta-ack rebuild was initiated.

This was done in WB.  The requirement for taking a field was all buildings down (sometimes including ack, sometimes not, depending on the era) last I checked.  

Synching ack rebuild with building rebuild worked fine as long as you bombed the hangers (which you might need to do just to close the field).  It did force people to CAP a field after they took it, and made field fights a knock-down, drag-out affair if the other side wanted to seen Ju52's to contest possession from a nearby field.

The only real negative is that at the current 110 person population base, it might slow field taking to a crawl.  There is nowhere near the cooperation I saw in WB in AH, and either cooridination or sheer numbers are needed to take a field and hold it if the acks are down.  This might improve with numbers and time (when I started WB, 90 was a high number in the MA), and coordination increased with numbers and evolutionary pressure.

While I understand the idea behind instant-ack (according to what Dinger said), I can't help but play devil's advocate and mention the fact that the bomber hangers and vehicle hangars can be taken down, thus removing the problem of M3/C47 spawning to retake a base.

Hi all,
 Yup I'm with fury here, This has been debated since long back and the spawning C47's has always seemed to satisfy the argument, (Not). Kill the barracks, Bomber hangers whatever. In a newly taken field defensive artillery would be available fairly quickly by not immediately I would propose perhaps a 30 second rebuild time for any dead ack once a field is taken, Just enough time to decide if you hang around or GTF outa there. trying to strafe an M3 or whatever and suddenly having all the ack light up at once sucks.
