I can't post anything longer than 80 characters on this board.
This is the limit on the subject line. Once you are trying to reply to a thread which already has an inflated subject line close to 80 characters (often looking like "Re: Re: Re: Why I dont want to make my subject line bla bla bla..."), you get that message.
Manually edit your subject line when posting, and you will be fine.

Remember, as Lusche said, your thread's subject must be less than 80 characters, otherwise you can't post your thread / reply.

Nope...that isn't it.
In fact I posted something earlier that has since disappeared. If I was crazy I'd be paranoid:)

Yes, that is the 80 character limitation. It is the subject line. If you respond to a thread that has a subject line that is 79 characters long, you will have to manually edit the subject line to shorten it or you will get that error.
The subject line, being 80 characters or longer, is the only place that error is generated.
